Note To Astoria: Loose The Salvage Chief!

There’s another tanker adrift off the Oregon coast, following a severe engine-room fire that killed one crew member aboard. In a scene reminiscent of the great New Carissa saga, a tug has been dispatched to the area in hopes of towing the disabled vessel to a US Port. In the New Carissa case, the cables snapped and the ship broke apart on the southern Oregon coast. After several approaches to removal, they finally ended up going with the venerable Salvage Chief to get the job done. They need to kick her out of the Astoria docks and send her out to recover the vessel.
