Coming Soon To Your Hardware Store

Makerbot 3-D printers are already available on the Home Depot website, and now they’ll be rolling out in stores as well:

The Brooklyn-based firm will begin selling its printers at 12 Home Depot stores around the country, including two locations in the city at West 23rd Street as well as upper Third Avenue, on Monday. The pilot program will offer the microwave-sized MakerBot Replicator printers, priced at $2,899, for sale, as well as the smaller Replicator Minis, which list for $1,375.

Hmm…need a special wrench for that home repair job? Just print it up. Oh boy, and the gun-grabbers are going to come unglued.
