Six Weeks To Go!

At dawn on July 12, California is due to break off into the Pacific. Or something. Might be at dusk, though.

“All six great quakes that have struck in Los Angeles that have killed people since the 30s, all of them, have been dawn or dusk earthquakes.”

Yes, and full moon July 12. Not to be an alarmist or anything….

I’ve heard the lunar tide theory before. Seems plausible. Not just dawn and dusk, but

“dawn and dusk quakes during new and full moons”

Two of the biggest in recent history: 1960 Chilean Earthquake, 22 May 1960, 15:11 local time. New Moon: 27th,

Next biggest: 1964 Alaskan earthquake, March 27, 1964, 5:36pm. Full moon that day.

(New and Full moons put Sun-Earth-Moon on a line. That’s enough to cause tides – it should also out a strain (of course, I mean “stress”) on earthquake faults.
