The Long Arm Of The Law

Phil Olson’s now 61, and with the statute of limitations long past, he figured it was safe to brag about that time back in 1978 when he blew up the TransAlaska Pipeline. Made a heck of a mess, it did, what with over half a million gallons of oil blasted into the countryside.

Why, activists today are small potatoes compared to ol’ Phil.

But a funny thing happened to him after he started bragging; he’s in jail.

But…but…statute of limitations!

Yeah, Phil, about that…the feds acknowledge that they can’t jail him for the actual bombing, but you know, there’s no statute of limitations that applies to lying to investigators.
